Dr. McLellan was born and raised in London, Ontario. She spent three years living and training at Canada’s National Ballet School where she realized her true passion was in the sciences and healthcare field. She completed an Honours Specialization in Biology with a Minor in Dance at The University of Western Ontario. During her undergraduate degree she was lucky enough to shadow Dr. McCann who opened her eyes to the stimulating and rewarding field of optometry. She went on to complete a Bachelor of Vision Science and Doctorate of Optometry at Nova Southeastern College of Optometry in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
During her time in Florida she conducted vision screenings for the athletes of the Special Olympics at three annual state games. She also volunteered for Yoga for the Blind with the Lighthouse of Broward County. Dr. McLellan has a special interest in Binocular vision disorders, Sports vision, and Contact lenses. Upon graduation Dr. McLellan was honoured to receive Pioneer’s Primary Care Award for excellence as a clinician.
Outside of the office Dr. McLellan enjoys teaching dance lessons, taking care of her golden retriever puppy, and spending time with family. She is thrilled to be practicing alongside such a great team, and is excited to be serving the community that she calls home.
