Dr. Christina Chan was born and raised in London, Ontario. She graduated in 2007 from The University of Western Ontario with an Honors Bachelor of Medical Science degree with a double major in Pharmacology/Toxicology and Physiology. She then moved to Florida to attend Optometry School and earned her Doctorate of Optometry degree from Nova Southeastern University in 2011.
During her optometric training, Dr. Chan completed clinical externships at Dorn Veterans Affairs Hospital in South Carolina, and at Clayton Eye Centers in Georgia; both clinical sites were heavily focused in ocular disease treatment and management.
Her optometric interests include dry eye management and fitting specialty contact lenses, including scleral and hybrid lenses. While in Optometry school, Dr Chan was the co-founder and president of the Canadian Association of Optometry Students, helping Canadian students with their transition to the USA. While at school, Dr. Chan traveled to Jamaica on an optometric mission trip, providing eye care to the people of Kingston.
Dr. Chan is one the co-owners of Upper Richmond Optometry located in Arva. She is also a member of the Ontario and Canadian Association of Optometrists. Her personal interests include yoga, exercise and traveling. She is excited to be home serving her community.
