Dr. McCann started his path towards optometry by completing two Bachelor of Science degrees at Western University in London, Ontario. He then went on to earn his Bachelor of Vision Science, accelerated MBA, and Doctor of Optometry from the Nova Southeastern University, College of Optometry in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Today, Dr. McCann is an experienced optometrist with 3 practices in the London area, including a collaborative care practice where he is the Clinical Director of Vision Care. He is also an elected member of the Board of Directors for the Ontario Association of Optometrists. When he’s not seeing patients, Dr. McCann is a professional consultant for Johnson & Johnson and a lecturer on the topics of contact lenses, ocular disease, and practice management. One of his passions is mentoring the next generation of optometrists by teaching clinical externs from the University of Waterloo School of Optometry and Vision Science.

Dr. Marina Bobanovic was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. She completed a Bachelor of Science with high distinction in Human Physiology at the University of Iowa in 2015. She went on to graduate from Illinois College of Optometry summa cum laude and received the Presidential Award in 2020. Her favourite experience as a student was providing care to underserved communities in Chicago and Peru volunteering with the Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity (VOSH) organization.

Dr. Bobanovic met her husband, who was born and raised in London, Ontario in 2016. They married in 2020 and she moved to London after graduating from optometry school. She is very proud to be a part of the team at Upper Richmond Optometry. She is a member in good standing of the Ontario Association of Optometrists, the Optometric Extension Program Foundation, and the Ocular Wellness & Nutrition Society. She is passionate about providing full scope optometric care to her patients.

In her free time, she enjoys baking “healthy” treats, exploring Ontario’s hiking trails, shopping local, playing volleyball, and travelling.

Dr. Bobanovic is accepting new patients and seeing existing patients as well. We are very excited to have her be part of our growing team!

Originally from London Ontario, Dr. Zhang graduated from the University of Western Ontario with an honours in Bachelor of Medical Sciences. She later went on to complete her Optometry degree at the University of Waterloo with distinction. Dr. Zhang is proud to be back and serve the people of London. 

Dr. Zhang completed her externships in Manitoba and Alberta, gaining extensive experience in myopia control and management of eye diseases. She was trained at a laser surgical center in Edmonton providing pre and post-operative care for LASIK, SMILE, PRK and cross-linking. Dr. Zhang has a special interest in dry eye management, myopia control and fitting specialty contact lenses. 

When she’s not in the office, Dr. Zhang likes to go bouldering, dancing and traveling. Dr. Zhang can provide eye exams in both Mandarin and English.
